Analog RF över fibermoduler omvandlar RF-signaler till optiska signaler och vice versa.
Sändarenheten modulerar (Mach-Zehnder modulator) RF spektret till den fiberoptiska utgången som via fiber överför den optiska signalen till mottagmodulen.
I mottagarmodulen demoduleras RF spektret tillbaka och kan sändas ut eller analyseras på mottagarmodulens RF-utgång.
